Nottingham City Regatta is on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th April 2008.                    Held under ARA Rules of Racing and Guide to Safe Practice in Rowing.                          Two one-day regattas, with racing over 2000m on Saturday and 1000m on Sunday, to be held at the National Watersports Centre on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April 2008.

Saturday Provisional Draw (Updated Tuesday 21.00, We will not update this sheet on the website after tonight.There will still be some changes due to injuries and other reasons, which will appear (if any ) at NWSC.

PLEASE NOTE on the A52 between Grantham (A1 junction) and Bingham (A46 junction), the road will be closed from Friday 8pm until Monday early AM. So any trailers approaching form the A1 will have to take the diversion or another route.

Sunday Provisional Draw (tuesday 2100 ish)

A NEW FORMAT. Morning and Afternoon divisions. Similar to Wallingford Regatta.           No Doubling up in a division. Crew codes are the ARA codes from OARA, used to fit on the website....:o}

No doubling or boat sharing in the same division

Entry Fees for 2008 are £10 per seat, coxes are free.

Therefore Eights £80, Fours/Quads £40, Pairs/Doubles £20 , Singles £10

Entries

1. All entries to be submitted via OARA with payment.

2. Entries closed at 9am on Thursday 17th April 2008.

4.In the event of the regatta being cancelled by the Regatta Race Committee either in part or in whole, the Committee reserve the right to refund up to 50% of entry fees of crews who have not raced.

Conditions

1.The regatta is open to all Club and Composite crews and is held under ARA rules.

2. Events and entry fees are listed herein and are available on OARA.

3. Competitors must provide their own boats and oars. Coxes requiring deadweight must bring their own clearly identifiable weights. Novice crews may race in fine or restricted boats.

4. Draw to be published on Tuesday 22nd April 2008 on the Nottingham City Regatta website www.nottinghamcityregatta.org.uk

5. The committee reserve the right to alter the list of entries to correct a mistake of the Regatta or should it be in the best interests of the racing. The committee reserves the right to withdraw any event unless there are six entries with four to row.

6. Entrants for Junior events should indicate an alternative event in which they wish to compete if there are insufficient entries in the Junior event.

7. All boats must be fitted with slots for numbers on the bows.

8. Lightweight men and women will be weighed not more than two hours nor less than one hour before the published time of the first race in the event. Rule 4.1.5 (average weight of lightweight crew) will not be applied.

9.All Saturday events will be rowed over 2000m from stakeboat starts, with all Sunday events over 1000m with stakeboat starts. Warming down must be restricted to 500m and must not interfere with racing on the course. See circulation pattern under 'Safety' on the Regatta's website.

10. Competitors must be at the start five minutes before the time of the race. Competitors will not be called for their races and the Starter will start all races without reference to absentees.

11. There will be presentation prizes for all events.

12. All competitors must produce an ARA racing licence on demand.

13. All clubs must ensure their equipment is insured.
